Headlamp Lense Refurbishment

 

Have the headlights on your car gone cloudy, cracked or crazed? With the onset of winter it is important that your headlights are working as best as possible. Over time the plastic surface on headlights can degrade and the light output is reduced. They can also look yellow and make a car look old and jaded. In the worst case the beam pattern can be obscured resulting in an MOT failure.

 

We have a new process for restoring the gleaming finish back to your headlights....

 

In the process the surface is first prepared with various grades of sanding and then an etch lacquer is applied. The lacquer is a UV stable coating that re-surfaces the lamp and etches into the plastic resulting in a very tough and optically clear lense surface. The product comes with a 3 year warranty against UV degradation or peeling. We are very impressed with the results and pleased that we can now offer this to customers instead of often costly lamp replacements. We have in the past used tea-cut to polish the lenses and have tried various products (even toothpaste and banana skin!) but these have not been good enough. The price for this lense refurbishment is £50 per lense or £80 for both, prices include VAT (as of 24.06.21). It is also possible to restore any other plastic lense or window that has dulled through exposure, such as rear lamp clusters, foglights, caravan windows and the like.
