For information collected on the contact form, we will use this to contact you. Your address and email may also be kept on file for Shawfix Autos to contact you for relevant offers or other information.

 

Any information collected will never be sold or shared with a 3rd party, and is collected only for use by Shawfix Autos.

Web forms are sent via HTTP, so are not encrypted much like email. For this reason, we do not require sensitive information to be sent on any forms.

 

Collected information is instantly emailed to info@shawfix.co.uk meaning that it is only able to be accessed by us.

Shawfix Autos - General Privacy Policy

 

We respect the rights of individuals and commit to protect people’s personal information.

 

We record customers’ phone numbers and addresses because we have a contract for the services we provide. We will contact customers by phone, SMS or email as requested to authorise work, provide costing information or to update a customer if an issue arises after the car is with us, for example a product recall on a part fitted.

 

We may send by post an MOT reminder letter to customers up to 13 months after they have used our services. This use of data has been assessed as a “Legitimate Interest” and we will not request consent to send you a reminder. The reminder letter will include details of other services we offer.

 

To comply with number plate supply regulations will record and retain the information specified by law that we obtain.

 

We may record telephone calls for training and monitoring purposes. These will be stored in a compliant storage system and deleted after 3 months.

 

No personal data will be used for any marketing purposes or passed on to any third parties. No processing of personal data will take place other than storage on-site and encrypted backup off-site.

 

Personal data in relation to will be retain for 7 years.

 

As a customer, you have the right to request:

•    Access to the personal data we hold about you, free of charge in most cases.

•    The correction of your personal data when incorrect, out of date or incomplete.
